ARA 290 is a non-erythropoietic peptide derived from the structure of erythropoietin (EPO), designed to selectively target the innate repair receptor (IRR), a heteromeric complex of the erythropoietin receptor (EPOR) and the β-common receptor (CD131). ARA 290 activates this receptor without stimulating erythropoiesis, distinguishing it from native EPO.
